Wound Closure Device
A wound closure device, an adhesive strip system that pulls the edges of a clean cut together without stitches.
Typical use
For small, clean lacerations, a closure device holds the skin edges together while the wound heals, avoiding the needle and suture and the need to return to have stitches removed. The device is placed across the wound and the strips are tightened to bring the edges together.
Before you order
Ask which wound lengths and types the device is designed for, and how it is applied and removed. Confirm the pack is sterile, the adhesive tolerates moisture and sensitive skin, and check the pack quantity and expiry date.
