Medical Tubular Bandage (Stockinette)
A medical tubular bandage in stockinette fabric, a seamless knitted tube that is cut to length and slipped over a limb.
Typical use
Stockinette is used as a base layer under plaster casts, to hold dressings on limbs, fingers and the trunk, and as a liner under splints. Because it is seamless and stretches, it adapts to different limb sizes without wrinkling.
Before you order
Choose the width for the limb size you treat and confirm the roll length and the fabric — cotton, viscose or blended. Ask about the elasticity and whether the roll is sterile or non-sterile.
