Ostomy Bag
An ostomy bag, a drainable pouch with a skin-barrier baseplate that collects waste from a stoma on the abdomen.
Typical use
After surgery that brings the bowel or urinary tract out to the abdomen, the pouch sticks around the stoma and collects the output. A one-piece design joins the pouch and baseplate, and the pouch is emptied through the outlet at the bottom.
Before you order
Confirm the stoma size range the baseplate covers and whether it is cut-to-fit or pre-cut. Ask about drainable versus closed pouches, the filter, the skin-barrier material and how many pouches a patient typically uses per week.
