Manual wheelchairs need no charging and are light enough to lift into a car boot when folded. Hospitals use them to move patients between wards and departments; at home they help people who tire when walking long distances.
Before you order
Confirm the seat width and the weight rating, and whether the footrests and armrests are removable. Ask about the tyre type — solid or pneumatic — and the brakes, both wheel locks and handles for the pusher.
