Medical Anti-Decubitus Mattress
A medical anti-decubitus mattress with air cells and a pump, designed to relieve pressure and help prevent bedsores.
Typical use
Patients who cannot move themselves are at risk of pressure ulcers where bone presses on the mattress. An air mattress with a pump shifts the pressure points by inflating its cells in turn, and is placed over the normal bed mattress.
Before you order
Check that the mattress size matches your bed frame and the weight it supports. Ask about the pump — noise, alarms, adjustable pressure — and whether spare cells or a repair kit are supplied.
